Who is the importer of my shipment? Do I need an import licence?
Your parcel travels in a consolidated shipment together with other customers' parcels. We work with many agents in each origin country, so we can't name in advance who handles the import of a particular shipment. You don't import it yourself: you need no NPWP, import licence or company, and the declaration in your account is the only document we need.
What stays your responsibility
You are the receiver of your own parcel, and you are responsible for its contents and your declaration:
- List every item with its real quantity and value.
- Make sure nothing in it is prohibited or restricted at the destination.
- If customs ask about your parcel, we email you; reply with photos or receipts.
The same rules apply whether the goods are for you or your business. Customs can inspect any parcel, so we can't promise that no questions will ever be asked; an accurate declaration makes them easy to answer.
If you plan to take the goods to another country afterwards, check that with the authorities there; we can't advise on it.
